Job Description
The successful candidate will join a diverse team of systems engineers and military subject matter experts as a principal trainer/technician
on one or more projects involving ground-based sensor systems. Strong communication and teaching/training skills are required. The candidate
will be responsible for training military operators, commercial end users, and field technicians on all aspects of operating ground-based sensor
equipment. The candidate must be capable of developing tactically sound operational employment plans with senior military and government leadership.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for over-seeing the fielding and installation of military sensor equipment in real world
applications, and must therefore be willing to deploy overseas to semi-austere environments for short periods of time. Responsibilities include:
developing training plans, logistics plans, instruction manuals, and system performance reports, as well as providing subject matter expertise to
a team of software and system engineers in order to optimize sensor system performance. The ideal candidate must have real world experience in
defense operations involving screening and searching civilian populations.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of military experience in a combat-arms related field. Real world experience in conducting counter-insurgency
operations, with a thorough knowledge of all elements of military force protection, checkpoint operations, and screening techniques. General knowledge
of ground sensor system strengths and limitations. Experience in teaching, training, and instructing large groups. Must be able to obtain medical
clearance to deploy overseas. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Job Description
The successful candidate will join an outstanding computer vision and sensor exploitation R&D group as a principal investigator on one or more projects involving applications of computer vision. Develop novel concepts, design algorithms, design systems and rapidly prototype software in the field of computer vision. Applications of interest include video processing, aerial video exploitation, hyperspectral and LIDAR image interpretation, photogrammetry, and mobile robotics. The successful candidate will be capable of performing original research, leading a small team of researchers and engineers, and winning new business from commercial and government clients.
Required Skills
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 5 or more years hands-on research in image or video understanding.

SET Corporation is actively seeking qualified candidates in the development and implementation of video processing algorithms for interpreting video from unmanned air vehicles. This work will include hands-on design, development, experimentation, and testing of real-time exploitation algorithms with UAVs in the laboratory and in flight. Algorithms for human and object detection, tracking, classification, and geolocation will be integrated with SET’s Ground Exploitation Station. Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for include translating innovative sensor processing
algorithms from proof of principal demonstrations into efficient, reliable software implementations.
The senior software engineer will design and implement software applications for real-time performance
working with algorithm developers to analyze, optimize, and refine their algorithm concepts.
Responsibilities will also include integration of algorithm systems into multi-threaded, multi-process,
multi-processor environments (windows, linux, etc.) with cross-platform compatibility and portability.
The senior software engineer will also be responsible for constructively supporting the software development
process including developing specifications, disciplined software design, coding standards, configuration
management, test procedures, and documentation. Application domains of interest include processing of
multi-dimensional radar and video data for object detection, tracking and recognition (MTI, ATR), area
monitoring, change detection, intrusion detection, and hidden weapons detection for military and commercial
customers from both ground-based and airborne sensors.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience developing software for government or
commercial software systems. Some knowledge of 1D, or 2D signal processing is required. Experience with
C/C++, MS Windows and Unix/Linux software development environments (such as visualC++ or gcc/g++/gdb/make, C#)
and tools (such as CVS, subversion or other CM system; bugzilla, roundup or other bug/issue tracking) is
required as is knowledge of standard industrial software development, test, and maintenance practices,
processes, and documentation, such as SEI CMM. Knowledge of video detection and tracking algorithms is
highly desirable as is experience with implementing object recognition algorithms. Some experience with
real-time or high-speed code optimization on general-purpose processors (such as Pentium or Power

tracking, and classifying objects of interest. This work will include hands-on design, development, experimentation, and testing of exploitation
algorithms for high dimensionality real beam radars. Opportunity exists for integration of developed algorithms with prototype radar hardware.
Application domains of interest include, target classification and tracking, intrusion/anomaly detection, and hidden weapons detection for
military and commercial customers from ground-based sensors.
Required Skills
Bachelors or Masters degree with at least 5 years experience developing and implementing signal processing algorithms for 1D and 2D radar signals.
Basic understanding of radar scattering phenomenology and radar signal processing. Knowledge of statistical techniques as well as radar modeling
and analysis tools. The candidate is expected to be proficient in appropriate programming and scripting languages, such as Matlab, C/C++, Python,
and Perl,. Experience with automatic target detection, tracking, and recognition algorithms across the RF spectrum is highly desirable. Experience
with different radar modes, waveforms, and associated phenomenology (real-beam, HRR, Doppler, SAR, ISAR, etc) is also highly desirable. Less
critical, but desirable: experience with signal processing for optical-plane imaging and ranging sensors (EO, IR, LADAR, HSI), hands-on experience
